Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a night shift hospital position serving ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations.

Details

• Hospital-based CT department serving ER, inpatient, and outpatient populations
• Level II Trauma Center
• Night shift schedule: Sunday–Thursday 10:30 PM–6:30 AM and Friday–Saturday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours per week)
• May float to a nearby sister hospital
• GE and Philips CT equipment used
• PACS and RIS utilized

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• ARRT (CT) and BLS (AHA) required
• Active Michigan state license required if applicable
• Hospital-level CT experience required
• Proficiency with GE and Philips CT scanners required
• CT workstation experience required
• High School Diploma or GED required; ongoing continuing medical education hours must be maintained
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move equipment or patients in excess of 10 lbs

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans and may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations under general supervision
• Responsibilities include administering IV contrast media via power injector and monitoring patients for reactions
• Assists radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Applies radiation protection principles including ALARA techniques
• Manages image delivery and exception resolution within PACS, and completes all study indexing in RIS
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to start date (typically one week before)
• COVID vaccination is required to work at this facility
• Pewter scrubs required
• All RTO requests must be submitted prior to assignment start; requests made after offer will be reviewed with management once the assignment begins
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but hospital experience is required
