Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position specializing in Head, Neck, and Plastics, requiring PCU/telemetry experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Details

Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of an academic teaching hospital, specializing in Head, Neck, and Plastics patients
Telemetry monitoring required for this patient population
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend coverage required
Floating to other units is required
Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

Active KY or compact RN license, currently in hand at time of consideration
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum 1 year of PCU and telemetry nursing experience required
Academic teaching hospital experience preferred
Clean licensure history required — any licensure hits will result in disqualification
2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates with a permanent residence within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
