Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of experience and an active Iowa or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift position, 7p-7a (19:00–07:00)
• 13-week contract
• Medical Surgical Combination unit serving an adult patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with CNA and LPN support staff
• Charting via MediTech EHR
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and HWC; ACLS preferred but not required
• RQI certifications are not accepted for this position
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for this travel position
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) is required — no exceptions; all background checks must be fully cleared prior to start
• Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Titers must be dated within the last 12 months
• COVID vaccination card required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply; travel experience is preferred but not required
