Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position in St. Louis, MO, requiring at least 1 year of critical care experience and current BLS, ACLS, and EKG certifications.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting, classified as a Med Surg Intermediate/Telemetry unit
• Patient population is 50% medical and 50% telemetry, adults only
• Typical patient ratio of 4–6:1
• EMR: Epic
• Night shift, 7p–7a (4x12s)
• Floating required upon request
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and EKG interpretation
• Minimum 1 year of recent critical care experience required
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documented renewal is scheduled

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care for step-down ICU patients, including tracheostomy management, ventilator management, and vasoactive drip administration
• Standard nursing equipment used throughout the telemetry unit
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of RTO is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply
• 13-week contract duration
