Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) position requiring Cerner experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience, working night shifts in Hickory, NC.

Details

• Work on the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (NPCU), 5th floor, of a 355-bed hospital
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients with stable post-stroke, stable neuro surgery, telemetry, and general medical diagnoses
• Specialty areas include neuro medical strokes, neuro-orthopedic surgeries, and overflow telemetry and medical patients
• 20-bed unit
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating may be required to Medical, Telemetry, and Neon units
• Cerner EHR used on unit
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cerner EHR experience required
• RQI certifications are not accepted
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility is part of the Duke LifePoint Health system and is home to the Frye Regional Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, and other specialty programs
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
