Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring Level 1 experience and CVICU background, working 12-hour night shifts.

Details

  • Position is in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) within a hospital setting
  • Cares for pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular and critical care needs
  • 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • Level 1 trauma center experience required
  • CVICU experience required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, administering medications, and monitoring physiological data
  • Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
  • Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may work a maximum of 26 weeks (including one extension) before requiring a 6-month separation period before being eligible to return
  • Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and non-negotiable
