Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position requiring a minimum of one year of CVICU experience and active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is based in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) within a hospital setting
• Cares for pediatric patients with cardiovascular and complex health conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Night shift schedule, working 3 days per week at 12 hours per day (36 hours per week)
• Level 1 trauma experience required for this role

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• Pediatric CVICU experience required
• Level 1 facility experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in organizing, planning, and evaluating nursing care; strong verbal and written communication skills
• Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned group of pediatric patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, administering medications, and managing IV infusions and blood products
• Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors and responds to physiological changes in patients, intervening as necessary
• Engages with patients and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may extend once for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before beginning a new contract
• Compliance requirements are strictly enforced; candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
