Description
American Traveler is hiring an IR Tech at a pediatric facility in Tacoma, WA, with a minimum of 1 year of experience and a preference for candidates with pediatric background.
Details
- Pediatric radiology/interventional radiology setting at a Level II trauma facility (newly built) with 152 total beds, including 70 NICU beds
- Patient population is pediatric, ages 0–18, across all diagnoses and case types
- Uses Siemens ArtisZee multipurpose imaging room
- 10-hour day shifts, 7 on/7 off schedule, Thursday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Weekend rotation is dependent upon the shift taken
- On-call may be required, limited to off-hours and weekends, not to exceed 24 hours per month
- No floating required
- Free garage and street parking available; local light rail is an accessible alternative
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of IR Tech experience; pediatric experience preferred
- ARRT-R certification required (lighter procedures scope)
- Current BLS certification required
- WA state license required if applicable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, MDs, and other medical staff
- Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Must demonstrate patience, kindness, and professionalism when working with pediatric patients and their families
- Two professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) required prior to start; one reference may be submitted at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Perform interventional radiology procedures on pediatric patients ranging from lighter diagnostic imaging to more complex interventional cases
- Must be a self-starter with strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced pediatric environment
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Any scrub color is acceptable
