Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Colorado, requiring at least 1 year of telemetry experience and an active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
• On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry (Med/Surg) experience required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — must not expire prior to start date
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit
• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for Med/Surg telemetry patients
• Duties include health teaching, counseling, executing delegated medical functions, and reviewing/monitoring treatment plans
• Documents patient care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines using Epic
• Candidates who have previously worked permanently at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• BSN and unit-appropriate specialty certification are preferred but not required
