Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a community hospital in Kingman, AZ, with a broad surgical skillset including thoracic, urology, orthopedic, and robotic surgery experience.

Details

• General OR setting within a community hospital
• Surgical specialties include general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, urology, thoracic, podiatry, trauma, and robotic surgery
• Robotic surgery cases include colorectal and orthopedic procedures using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
• Estimated 5–6 call and late call shifts per month depending on staffing needs
• Meditech experience is highly preferred for charting

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS; PALS also required
• Experience with thoracic procedures including VATS, thoracotomy, lobe/lung resection, and mediastinoscopy (scrub thoracic surgery preferred)
• Experience with urological procedures such as cystectomy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy preferred
• Experience with general OR cases including laparoscopic procedures, bowel resections, mastectomy, and thyroidectomy
• Trauma case experience including amputations and gunshot/stab wounds
• Robotics experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Travel experience is not required

• Travel pairs are accepted for this assignment
• Former permanent employees of this facility must wait 12 months before returning as a travel nurse
• RTO requests must be submitted prior to or at the time of application
