Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a large academic hospital setting
• Day/Night rotating shifts: Days 7:00am–7:30pm and Nights 7:00pm–7:30am (3x12-hour shifts)
• Shift rotation may be required based on operational needs, though preferred shift will be honored when possible
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation; passing scores required (maximum of 2 attempts)

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (must be active with nothing pending)
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to any travel assignments
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty is required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Every other holiday coverage is required
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to or at the time of interview
• Candidates who have previously worked at Cleveland Clinic as permanent or per diem staff must wait at least 1 year from their end date before being considered
• Consecutive assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location are limited to 18 months, after which a minimum 6-month break is required before returning
• Background check hits of any kind are reviewed by the facility; open cases will not be accepted
• License hits of any kind are not accepted
• Candidates must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting at the facility prior to their start date
• BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Pre-start online modules are required and average 6–15 hours; must be completed before the start date
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirements (exemption in effect until further notice)
