Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring a DC RN license, ACLS/BLS certifications, and at least 2 years of CVICU experience.

Details

  • Work setting is a hospital CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
  • Contract length is 13 weeks
  • Schedule is day/night rotating shifts: 0700–1930 and 1900–0730
  • Open to either a 3x12 or 4x12 shift structure
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Floating to ICU and IMC required

Requirements

  • Active DC RN license required; proof of pending DC licensure accepted at time of consideration, but license must be in hand prior to start
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on the lethal rhythms section
  • 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are accepted for this position
