Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level I Trauma hospital in Boston, MA, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and strong telemetry skills.
Details
- Acute Medical Surgical unit (Menino 6 East) within a Level I Trauma hospital in Boston, MA
- 36-bed unit with a general patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
- Strong telemetry monitoring required, including independent reading and interpretation of rhythm strips
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with day/night rotation
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Acute Medical Surgical required
- Strong telemetry skills with ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Level I Trauma hospital experience required
- Must pass a telemetry competency test with a score of 85% or better on Day 1
- Two professional references required for consideration: at least one must be from a manager-level or above (supervisor title not accepted), one reference must include a performance evaluation within the last 12 months, and the second may be within 3 years
- References cannot be provided by another traveler
- Travel experience highly preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B); the test may only be taken twice
- Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
