Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital CT/X-Ray unit, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and at least 2 years of experience performing both CT and X-ray imaging.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in a combined CT and X-Ray unit
• Performs general CTs, CTAs, general X-ray, portables, C-arm, and fluoroscopy
• Must be capable of performing both CT and X-ray imaging
• Must be able to start own IVs — no IV team on-site
• EMR: Epic; imaging system: Synapse
• 12-hour night shifts, Sunday through Wednesday, 6:30 PM – 5:00 AM
• Weekend rotation required; no holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• WV state license required if applicable
• Experience with both CT and X-ray imaging, including portables, C-arm, and fluoroscopy
• Experience with IV starts required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform general CT, CTA, X-ray, portable imaging, C-arm, and fluoroscopy studies
• Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency — the facility does not supply one
• Floor-specific orientation is provided
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff are not eligible to return as travelers
• Travelers who have worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being eligible to apply; cumulative WVU experience applies and travelers may not exceed one year of total WVU employment without a 2-year break
• 2 references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference and 1 peer or additional supervisor reference; if the candidate worked a permanent position in the last 12 months, one supervisor reference must be from that facility
