Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit night shift position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an IL RN license.

Details

• Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit in a 158-bed acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7:30a, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Charting via Epic; Epic experience required
• Every other weekend required
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be acceptable — note status when applying
• Active MO state RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• No parking cost at this facility
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at this BJC facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
