Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Details

• Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• ICU setting within a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Weekend requirement: 3 out of every 6 weeks
• Floating may be required within scope to IMCU and ICU as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license not accepted for this position)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Experience with line insertion assistance and intubation support
• Experience with hypothermia protocols
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD required
• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Travelers may remain at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
