Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Details

• Night shift position, 18:45–07:15 (3x12-hour shifts)
• ICU setting within a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic EMR experience required for this unit
• Weekend requirement: 3 out of every 6 weeks
• Floating required within scope to IMCU and ICU as needed to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (pending IL license may be acceptable — contact recruiter for details)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Experience with line insertion assistance and intubation support required
• Experience with hypothermia protocols required
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD required
• Experience with IABP required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
• Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may remain at a BJC facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
• Navy scrubs required
• No parking costs at this facility
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required for consideration
