Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience, Epic proficiency, and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 36-bed Telemetry unit (5 North) consisting entirely of private rooms
• Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatric patients, with a focus on cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions including cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implant
• Hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients are also admitted to this unit
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR — experience required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or relevant RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible for this position: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and will not be approved during the first week of orientation
