Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of Step-Down experience and a rotating day/night schedule.

Details

• Hospital-based Step-Down (HVTI) unit within a large academic medical center
• Potential to float to other units within the same patient population
• Rotating day and night shifts: 7:00am–7:30pm and 7:00pm–7:30am
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Step-Down or a related specialty prior to beginning travel
• Minimum 18 months of recent Step-Down experience required (travel experience counts toward this requirement)
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
• Must provide a copy of driver's license and Social Security card for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required to continue the assignment
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Cleveland Clinic location must have a minimum 6-month gap before beginning a new assignment there
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location are limited to 18 consecutive months
