Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Illinois, requiring a minimum of one year of ED nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Works in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Night shift schedule: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with an expectation to be onsite within one hour
• A mandatory 2-week nights rotation is required of all travelers
• Epic EMR used; experience is required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temp license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ED nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Performs patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Executes and continuously modifies care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support the care team
• Upholds patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
• Collaborates and communicates effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and families
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded; standard experience requirements apply
