Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in New Mexico, requiring at least two years of ICU experience and a valid NM or Compact RN license.

Details

• ICU setting within an acute care hospital environment
• 12-hour night shifts, 1850–0650, three days per week (0.9 FTE)
• Weekend availability and on-call shifts required as needed
• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
• No charge nurse or preceptor role required
• Epic EMR experience preferred; on-site training available

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA, AHSA, or ARC), ACLS (AHA, AHSA, or ARC), and NIHSS
• Minimum of two years current ICU experience required
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)

Additional Information

• Candidates must successfully pass an on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test, administered on the first day of orientation; one retest opportunity is allowed, and a second failure will result in contract termination
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care
• Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents per facility policy
• Provides clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Candidates who have previously worked for Presbyterian Health Services must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
