Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in New Mexico, requiring at least two years of ICU experience and a valid NM or Compact RN license.
Details
- ICU setting within an acute care hospital environment
- 12-hour night shifts, 1850–0650, three days per week (0.9 FTE)
- Weekend availability and on-call shifts required as needed
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
- No charge nurse or preceptor role required
- Epic EMR experience preferred; on-site training available
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA, AHSA, or ARC), ACLS (AHA, AHSA, or ARC), and NIHSS
- Minimum of two years current ICU experience required
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
Additional Information
- Candidates must successfully pass an on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test, administered on the first day of orientation; one retest opportunity is allowed, and a second failure will result in contract termination
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care
- Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents per facility policy
- Provides clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
- Candidates who have previously worked for Presbyterian Health Services must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
