Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Labor & Delivery for a night shift travel contract at a hospital OB/LDRP unit in Crown Point, IN, requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and active IN or compact licensure.

Details

• OB/LDRP unit setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes laboring mothers, antepartum, postpartum, and gynecological surgery patients
• Labor patient ratio: 1:1–1:3; postpartum patient ratio: 1:6–1:8
• Unit features 11 labor beds, 16 postpartum beds, 2 ORs, and 2 recovery bays
• Equipment includes fetal monitoring, infant warmers, FSE, and IUPC
• EMR: Epic
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Assigned holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM
• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Hands-on experience with management of labor, FSE, IUPC, and epidural care required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required

• Responsibilities include management of laboring patients, antepartum and postpartum care, and support for gynecological surgery patients
• Ideal candidate is team-oriented, hardworking, able to manage emergency situations, and willing to step in to support colleagues
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply
• Assigned holidays must be worked as part of the schedule
