Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Boston, MA, requiring at least 1.5 years of acute care experience and the ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips.

Details

• 36-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
• Patient population includes geriatric, cardiac, and a general mix of medical patients
• Patient ratios are approximately 1:3–1:4 on days and 1:4–1:5 on nights
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with a day/night rotation
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required, including July 4th coverage
• Epic EMR experience preferred (2+ years)

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of acute care experience in an Acute Medical Surgical setting
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
• Level 1 Trauma hospital experience required
• Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above (supervisor title is not accepted), and must include a performance evaluation; one reference must be from within the last 12 months, the other within the last 3 years; references from fellow travelers are not accepted
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must pass a telemetry (dysrhythmia) test on day 1 of assignment
• Epic EMR experience of 2+ years is preferred
• Permanent residence must be 30 or more miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Holiday coverage is required, including availability through the July 4th holiday
