Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT/Rad Tech (Multimodality) for a freestanding emergency department imaging unit in Orange Park, FL, requiring ARRT CT certification, a FL license, and GE scanner experience.

Details

• Work setting is the CT department within a freestanding emergency department (FSED) at a Level II trauma center hospital
• Department is equipped with 3 CT scanners — 2 GE units and 1 Siemens unit
• Documentation systems include Meditech and GE Centricity
• Night shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 2 CT techs on shift overnight
• May be required to float to the main imaging department
• Unit directly supports the ER with turnaround times for stroke and trauma cases
• Standard CT scans performed — no invasive CT procedure experience required for this shift
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required, with active experience within the last 6 months
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• FL license required if applicable
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) required — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date
• GE CT scanner experience required
• Trauma and stroke experience required
• Terra Recon or equivalent reformat experience on another platform preferred
• Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform standard CT scans in support of ER operations, with focus on timely turnaround for stroke and trauma patients
• Patient interaction should align with AIDET standards — candidates must be friendly and patient-focused
• Strong leadership and a tenured team are in place within the department
• Solid-color scrubs required; navy and purple are not permitted per HCA Division policy
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but allied candidates must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role
