Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong multi-specialty surgical experience for a 13-week travel contract at an academic medical center in Albany, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

• Operating Room (OR) setting at an academic medical center in Albany, NY
• Strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgical experience required
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Every 3rd weekend rotation required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• On-call may be required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience required
• Current BLS and any applicable certifications required; must be issued by AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience is required — candidates without Epic experience will not be considered
• US Social Security Number required
• Flu vaccine required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal or religious declinations will not be accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates residing in the following counties are ineligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week contract period may result in termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
