Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a variable shift position in a Level 1 Trauma radiology setting.

Details

• Radiology department in an acute care hospital setting
• Variable shifts consisting mostly of 8–12 hour shifts, primarily 2nd or 3rd shift with potential weekend shifts
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• Associate's Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology
• Active ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• IL IEMA Radiologic Technologist license required; license required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Proficiency in English (speak, read, write)

Additional Information

• Performs CT imaging procedures including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered image reconstruction
• Administers IV, oral, and rectal contrast materials and responds to adverse or allergic reactions
• Reviews radiology orders, patient history, and labs to ensure appropriate exam selection and medical necessity
• Transfers and verifies image data in PACS and utilizes web server/viewer for after-hours preliminary readings
• May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence
• May be required to perform duties in other modalities within the department for which licensure is held
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO is not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on continuous assignment at this facility for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
