Description

American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for a 16-week evening shift contract at an academic teaching hospital, requiring ARRT or ARMRIT advanced MR licensure and Philips MRI experience.

Details

• Position is based in an imaging department at an academic teaching hospital
• 8-hour evening shifts on a rotating schedule: 3 weeks of Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, followed by 1 week of 11:30 AM–7:30 PM weekend shifts (with one day off that week)
• No call required
• 1–2 weekends per month required
• Schedule flexibility is required; block scheduling is not available
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT or ARMRIT advanced MR licensure required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Philips MRI experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• License required if applicable — Vermont licensure not required at time of consideration; New York-licensed candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY license included
• At least two professional references from a nurse manager and/or supervisor are required for consideration, with at least one from the past 6 months
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility (measured by straight line) are considered local; candidates 51–100 miles away are eligible for the standard travel rate
• All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
