Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel contract in Saint Louis, MO, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and ER departments on evening/night shifts with 3+ years of experience required.

Details

• CT Scan department within an acute care hospital serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER patient populations
• Works in a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center
• 5x8 evening/night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses GE CT equipment
• EMR: Epic
• May be required to float per facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
• CT Registry required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• License required if applicable
• All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of scheduled renewal is provided

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT scans for interpretation by a radiologist or performing physician
• Assist radiologists in the performance of interventional and special procedures including biopsy, ablation, myelography, and arthrography
• Apply principles of radiation safety and help organize the daily CT schedule
• Night shift travelers orient on day shift and must be available the full orientation week
• Black scrubs required
• Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for assignments between November 1 and April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or reassignment outside the 50-mile radius is required
