Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU/Pre-Op/Phase 2 position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring a minimum of 3 years of PACU experience and Epic/Excellian proficiency.

Details

• Acute care teaching hospital setting (Level 3 Trauma, Magnet-designated)
• Unit covers PACU, Pre-Op, and Phase 2 recovery
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Shifts available in 8- or 12-hour increments with start times of 0530, 0700, 0800, 0930, and 1100
• Day shift scheduling (3x12 hours), with shift windows of 0700–1930 and 1100–2330
• Block scheduling may be considered
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities to meet staffing needs
• Charting system: Epic (Excellian) — experience required
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
• Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• At least 1 supervisor professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been gone for at least 3 months from their last shift worked
• Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
• RTO of no more than 5 days is preferred for this assignment
• First-day parking is validated at no cost; subsequent parking fees apply and vary by shift and location
