Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification for a 14-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Acute care hospital MRI department setting
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Procedures include diffusion imaging (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing (apparent diffusion coefficient mapping, subtraction), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and perfusion imaging
• Systems in use include Epic, Pyxis, GE, PACS, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba
• 4x10 hour night shifts, 9:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• On-call requirements apply

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with diffusion imaging, gradient echo, MPR, image post-processing, and perfusion imaging
• Experience with GE, Philips, Siemens, and/or Toshiba MRI systems preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Pewter gray scrubs required
• RTO maximum of 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two and may request one holiday off for approval
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted
• No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
