Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a night shift schedule, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

• 29-bed Med/Surg unit with a cardiac and telemetry patient population
• Night shift schedule: 18:45–07:15
• Charting via Epic EMR
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Driver's license, 2 professional references, and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning
• Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Local candidates may be considered, though a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate eligibility
• COVID vaccination is not required
