Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position at a major hospital campus in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and a rotating day/night schedule.

Details

• Work in a cardiac step-down (HVTI-Stepdown) unit within a large hospital campus
• Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Schedule is 3x12-hour shifts per week; shift rotation may occur based on operational needs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (staff) experience in step-down nursing prior to travel
• Step-down experience required; travel experience is accepted toward the 18-month requirement
• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration

Additional Information

• Caring for cardiac and progressive care step-down patients, with potential cross-coverage to other units serving the same population
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; an acceptable score on both is required to proceed
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers are limited to 18 consecutive months across any assignments at this health system's locations, with a minimum 6-month gap required before beginning a new assignment there
• Two professional references are required for consideration
