Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an outpatient hand therapy position requiring hands-on experience with post-op hand surgeries and splinting, with Epic EMR proficiency required.

Details

  • Outpatient OT setting
  • Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Focus on hand therapy patients including post-operative hand surgery cases
  • Epic EMR required — no exceptions
  • Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, or NBCOT certification required
  • Graduate of a program approved by the ACOTE required
  • Active Oregon OT license required — no pending licenses accepted; license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification from the AHA required
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience required
  • Experience in outpatient hand therapy required
  • Experience with post-op hand surgeries and splinting required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • CHT certification preferred
  • COVID vaccination required — no exemptions

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient evaluation and development and follow-through of individualized treatment plans
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rates — no radius restriction
  • Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront and cannot be modified after submission; additional RTO requests may result in cancellation
  • Former staff must have been away for a minimum of 6 months before returning as a traveler
  • 13-week minimum contract length; longer contracts may be available
