Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of scanning experience and required US credentials including RVT for a 13-week assignment in Longview, TX.

Details

• Hospital-based imaging/ultrasound department
• Performs a wide variety of routine and advanced ultrasound imaging procedures across multiple modalities
• Rotating matrix schedule, 12-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• May be required to work other shifts or at other campuses as needed
• Uses PACS for image archiving and storage

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or equivalent
• Must be US credentialed and hold RVT certification
• One of the following required: ARRT (S), ARDMS RDMS (AB), or ARDMS RDMS (OB/GYN)
• One or more of the following preferred in addition to required credential: ARRT (VS), ARRT (BS), ARDMS RDMS (BR), ARDMS RDCS (AE), or ARDMS RVT
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Basic computer proficiency required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for performing exams, ensuring proper image storage in PACS, and supporting patient throughput and flow
• Expected to troubleshoot basic equipment issues, participate in QA, and escalate PACS problems as needed
• Must maintain imaging competencies as outlined by management and participate in ongoing education and safety initiatives
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a radius rule
