Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Bariatric unit position in Dallas, TX, requiring a TX or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Med/Surg Bariatric unit
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Traveler-friendly and nurse-to-patient ratio is fair (only once I was Quaded but had a lot of help from Nurse Extern & Resource RN).

Cons

Move closer to the facility; traffic in the city is horrible, and the express toll costs can vary from day to day.
