Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU night shift position requiring active WA or compact RN licensure and critical care hospital experience.

Details

• Critical Care Unit (CCU) in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Compact license holders must provide: (1) verification of suicide training and (2) demographic verification via Nursys e-Notify
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS and ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS
• Prior critical care experience in a hospital setting required
• Proof of right to work in the United States required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, phlebotomy, and IV protocol management
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, oxygen pumps, and central/pulmonary artery pressure lines
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Initiates and delivers patient and family education regarding post-treatment care, medications, and rehabilitation
• Responds to life-saving situations in accordance with nursing standards and protocol
