Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg - Neuro position requiring TN or compact licensure, with night shift availability and EKG testing prior to start.

Details

Work in a busy Med/Surg Neuro unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes CVA/TIA, seizures, encephalopathy, weakness, and rule-out stroke cases
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) required
Floating required
EMR: Cerner; Medication System: Omnicell

Requirements

Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required
Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
ACLS (AHA) preferred
Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start date
Med/Surg nursing experience required

Additional Information

Provide nursing care to neurological patients presenting with stroke, seizure, encephalopathy, and related conditions
Bi-weekly orientation schedule
RTO will not be accommodated during holidays or holiday weeks, including: Valentine's Day, Local Spring Break, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Local Fall Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day
Travelers may discuss holiday RTO directly with the manager after arriving onsite using the RTO form
