Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Surgery Trauma Unit position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Position is on the 6A Surgery Trauma unit of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes spinal/neuro trauma surgical cases, gunshot wounds, quadriplegics, and paraplegics
• Epic EMR experience required
• Block scheduling is not approved on most units
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience in specialty
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced, and complex trauma cases
• Epic EMR proficiency required

• Provide nursing care to a diverse and high-acuity surgical trauma patient population
• No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
