Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Details

  • 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) — travel nurses provide direct patient care and are not responsible for teaching or educational duties
  • Mixed Med/Surg patient population
  • Patient ratio of 5–6:1
  • Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
  • 4 weekend shifts required per month
  • Block scheduling is generally not approved
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Experience in a large, high-volume, or Level 1 trauma hospital required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity hospitals will not be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-complexity patient situations

  • This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex and high-volume cases
  • No RTO (time off requests) will be approved for this assignment
