Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.
Details
- 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) — travel nurses provide direct patient care and are not responsible for teaching or educational duties
- Mixed Med/Surg patient population
- Patient ratio of 5–6:1
- Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in a large, high-volume, or Level 1 trauma hospital required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity hospitals will not be considered
- Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-complexity patient situations
