Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ER Holding unit position requiring at least 3 years of emergency department experience and the ability to stabilize critical patients in a fast-paced environment.

Details

• ER Holding unit within a hospital setting
• Combined adult and pediatric, non-trauma emergency department
• Critical patients triaged using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI)
• Small, collaborative unit staffed by approximately 3 RNs
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (0700–1930 or 0800–2030)
• Every other weekend required (approximately 4 weekends per 13-week contract)
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 3 years of emergency department experience required
• Experience in a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma ED setting required
• Strong ability to stabilize critical patients and adapt quickly in a high-acuity environment

Additional Information

• Responsible for triaging and stabilizing critical patients using the ESI system
• Must be a strong team player with the ability to pivot and manage high-acuity situations
