Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Angiography with at least 1 year of vascular or interventional experience and active ARRT registration for a 13-week travel assignment in Utah.

Details

• Angiography department in an acute care hospital setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts with call required
• 40 hours per week
• Uses Epic for charting
• Radiation dosimeter badge required; facility will provide one if needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of vascular or interventional radiology experience
• Active ARRT(R)(RT) with angiography experience, or ARRT(R)(VI) certification
• Vascular/interventional radiography certification, or at least 1 year of angio/interventional experience
• Active Utah State Rad Tech License required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS or PALS preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• All certifications must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to the assignment start date

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient identification and order verification, exam preparation, quality image production, and accurate documentation including time stamps and image storage
• Performs procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech per angio lab policies and scope of practice
• Develops knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies including indications, applications, and deployment techniques
• May apply closure devices, suture sheaths in place, or remove sheaths and apply pressure to achieve hemostasis at the end of procedures
• Provides patient education and ensures patient comfort throughout the procedure
• Transports patients and maintains work area with appropriate supply inventory
• Physical demands include lifting and transferring patients, standing for extended periods, pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, and fine motor manipulation of complex equipment
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility in this health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
