Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR/Cath Lab experience, including Body (trauma) and Neuro (stroke) experience, for a 13-week assignment in Dallas, TX at a Level I Trauma Center.
Details
- Work in an Interventional Radiology Lab at a Level I Trauma Center in Dallas, TX
- Patient population spans newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric age groups
- Procedures include interventional radiology with body (trauma) and neuro (stroke) cases
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM with a rotating day off
- On-call required with a rotating call shift; must be able to report and be ready for a case within 30 minutes of being called (including drive, parking, and walking time)
- Float requirements apply per facility policy
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR or Cath Lab experience required
- Body (trauma) and Neuro (stroke) experience required
- Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- Vascular Interventional (VI) experience preferred
- Active TX license required if applicable
- Current BLS (AHA only), ARRT-R, and MRT certifications required
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Date of birth and SSN required for consideration
- Flu shot required; no exemptions granted
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality IR procedures according to exam protocol under the general supervision of a Radiologist
- Responsible for patient positioning, equipment setup, exposure factor adjustment, and maintaining sterile technique for invasive multimodality procedures
- Adheres to radiation safety, infection control, and drug safety protocols
- Obtains and verifies all relevant documentation including patient history, consent forms, and pregnancy status
- Maintains imaging records in the appropriate system per department standards
- May serve as a preceptor for new team members
- Hospital provides scrubs
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position; local travelers are not accepted
- Flu shots are mandatory during flu season (typically August–November); no exemptions granted
