Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 24 months of ED experience, Epic proficiency, and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• 34-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Mixed patient population requiring drips and titrations
• Floating may be required to Marion ED (freestanding campus) and Jones Regional Medical Center
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Iowa (IA) single-state or compact/multistate RN license required
• Minimum 24 months of ED/Emergency Department experience required
• Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS may be obtained during onboarding)
• De-escalation certification (CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA) highly preferred; may be obtained during onboarding
• Epic EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory professional reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub colors: black, navy blue, or Caribbean blue solids only
• Candidates who have been employed by the client within the past 12 months may not be eligible
• Travelers are expected to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• Time-off requests are limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week (11/26–11/30) and the Christmas/New Year's window (12/23–1/2), regardless of holidays worked
