Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong transplant (liver, heart, lung, and kidney) experience for a travel assignment at a Magnet teaching hospital in Weston, FL.

Details

  • OR setting within a 230-bed short-term acute care Magnet teaching hospital
  • Primary focus on liver/transplant cases, with potential for other OR cases when transplant cases are not scheduled
  • Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM (4x10-hour shifts)
  • On-call required: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
  • Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
  • Block scheduling is not available
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Ceil blue scrubs required
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space

Requirements

  • Active FL or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
  • Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required at time of consideration
  • NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start
  • Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required
  • Strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience required and must be clearly reflected on skills checklist
  • Experience with organ implantation (placing organs into the recipient patient) required — harvesting-only experience is not sufficient
  • Proficiency with Misonix/CUSA required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requests added after submission will likely not be approved
  • This is a nicotine-free facility; all candidates must be nicotine-free with no exceptions, and a negative 10-panel drug screen including cotinine is required
  • Time-sensitive onboarding modules must be prioritized and completed promptly upon confirmation of the assignment
  • Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months across any Cleveland Clinic locations, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before starting another assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
