Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Yakima, WA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience and active WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a 226-bed non-profit community hospital with 2 procedure rooms and 5 holding bays for pre/post care
• Patient population includes cardiac diagnostic and intervention, implantable devices, EP mapping and ablation, vascular diagnostic and intervention, and interventional radiology
• EMR systems: Epic and Merge
• Schedule is 10-hour day shifts (0700–1730)
• No weekend rotation; weekends are covered by call only
• On-call requirement: approximately every 4th weekend (Friday 1700 through Monday 0700)
• Weekday on-call: one shift per week from end of shift until 0700 the following morning
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Proficiency in administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Experience with patient assessment and clinical status monitoring in a Cath Lab setting
• Knowledge of medications used in the Cath Lab, radiation safety, infection control, and hemodynamic support
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and the care team
• Two professional references from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or equivalent) required prior to start; one reference accepted for initial consideration
