Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in a freestanding emergency department CT/X-Ray unit in Houston, TX, requiring ARRT and CT certifications with at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Located in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting with fewer than 20 beds
• CT/X-Ray department covering all ordered ED X-Ray and CT exams
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Fixed and portable imaging equipment in use
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekends are variable
• No floating required

Requirements

• ARRT (R) and CT certifications required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in CT/X-Ray
• Allied health candidates must have at least 6 months of active experience within the last 6 months in this role
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs all ordered emergency department X-Ray and CT examinations
• Trauma facility experience is a plus
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset is important for success in this role
• Green scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates will be considered
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
