Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 2 Trauma and Stroke Center, requiring TNCC and a minimum of 1 year of ED experience.

Details

Acute care hospital Emergency Department setting
30-bed ED with 27 medical beds and 3 ED Psych beds
Averages 120 patients per day (range of 100–140)
Level 2 Trauma Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
Chest Pain accredited facility with a full Sexual Assault Survivor treatment center
POD nursing model used for patient assignments
Staffing is based on average daily census (ADC) with various shift ranges
Epic EMR is used in this position
12-hour evening shifts, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
13-week contract

Requirements

Active IL RN license required
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all AHA), TNCC or TNS, and NIHSS
BSN not required
Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

Provides emergency nursing care across a high-volume, multi-acuity ED including trauma, stroke, chest pain, and behavioral health patients
Immediate need — candidates who can start as soon as possible are strongly preferred
