Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Resource Float Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency at an academic teaching hospital in Vermont.
Details
- Resource Float unit, floating to Med/Surg Telemetry and Med/Surg units as needed
- Academic teaching hospital environment
- 12-hour night shifts
- Every other weekend required; no on-call responsibilities
- Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block schedules
- 26-week contract
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license in Vermont or a Compact state; NY candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY licensure
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
- PCCN or orthopedic certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Academic or teaching hospital experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required (non-negotiable)
- At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one within the past 6 months, one within the past year)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Complete work history including bed count, EMR, facility type, and trauma level required
Additional Information
- Bi-weekly Monday orientations offered; next available orientation is April 20
- Public transportation is not accessible in this area — a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
- All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those 51–100 miles away fall under a mid-range radius tier
