Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Intermediate Care (PCU/Telemetry) position at a Level 1 trauma academic medical center in Vermont, requiring cardiology specialty experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Miller 4 PCU/Telemetry unit within a large, Level 1 trauma academic teaching hospital
• Cardiology patient population including post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart patients
• 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights), Monday through Sunday
• Minimum every-other-weekend requirement; scheduling is flexible to meet unit and patient care needs
• No block scheduling available
• Floating required within the central pool PCU; travelers float first
• Epic EMR in use
• 26-week contract

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required; candidates without a VT license will be accepted, and NY candidates may be considered with proof of a pending NY license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in a large Level 1 trauma, academic teaching facility required
• Cardiology specialty experience required, including post-cath, STEMI, and structural heart patients
• Epic experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor are required for consideration — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• This position is interview-to-offer (IVS)
• Bi-weekly orientations begin on Mondays; the next available orientation is 4/20
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained in your work history
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type for each position listed
