Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring strong critical care and IR procedural experience, including moderate sedation, at a large academic teaching facility in Vermont.

Details

Interventional Radiology unit within a large academic teaching hospital
Caseload includes both acute and chronic patients undergoing invasive procedures under imaging guidance
8-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday
On-call required at least one weekday per week and every 3–4 weekends, with potential for additional call based on department needs
No block schedules permitted
Epic EMR experience required; must have used Epic within the past 12 months
26-week contract

Requirements

Active VT RN license or compact RN license (candidates without VT licensure will be considered, but must apply within 24 hours of commitment)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Strong critical care nursing experience required
Conscious sedation / moderate sedation experience required and must be reflected in work history
Interventional radiology procedural experience required
Experience in a large teaching facility required
PIV insertion skills and knowledge of vasoactive drips required
Epic EMR experience within the past 12 months required
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required: at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year
SSN and DOB required for consideration
Reliable personal transportation required — public transportation is not accessible in this area, and snow/all-season tires are strongly recommended from November through April

Additional Information

Perform invasive IR procedures under imaging guidance, including administration of moderate sedation
NY-licensed candidates may be considered with proof of pending NY license included
Bi-weekly orientations begin on Mondays
Candidates must ensure all work history is complete, including bed count, EMR used, facility type, and explanations for any employment gaps exceeding 30 days
